Our client, an international leader in the field of Renewable Energy, seeks to employ a well-Experienced and qualified Wind Turbine Optimization Engineer, with proven technical background in Wind Energy, product development, and project management.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE OR MEET THE FOLLOWING KEY CRITERIA:
- You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company
- You will have completed a Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a strong technical background in Wind Energy, plus 5-10 years of experience in product development, project management, in the (wind) energy industry
- You must have deep know-how in wind turbine technology (e.g. site assessment, wind turbine control, aerodynamics, SCADA, wind farm control, grid requirements)
- You must be highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong skills in Excel, Python, etc. and be able to build strong relationships and clearly communicate within a global organisation
- You must be self-driven, focused and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in a complex environment
- You will have be a part of conceptual development and continuous improvement of Wind Turbine upgrades based on new technologies, market trends and customer requirements, as well as proactively drive the development of optimization solutions
- You will design and implementation of new functionality in optimization-based software specifically in the Wind Energy sector, and you will be the techhnical lead on specification, design, development, implementation, tuning and maintenance software applications
- You will be responsible for regular updates to the project Delivery Manager on progress status, budget consumption, risks evaluation and associated mitigation plan, as well as interface and develop relationships with customers and partners on general and specific areas of functional expertise
- You will ensure that quality assurance standards and procedures are followed in all aspects of the implementation, as well as represent the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings
- You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
