Winder Electrician

Salary: R 336 000.00 per annum
Experience
The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years’ experience as a winder electrician in the deep gold mining sector.
Formal qualifications

• Grade 12 or N3 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification with mathematics and physical science
• Trade certificate- Electrician
• MQA -MV switching certificate
• Valid driving license code 08
• A valid medical certificate certifying the incumbent’s fitness status to work on surface and or underground

Responsibilities

• Support the achievement of production performance levels through the maintenance of equipment
• Accept responsibility for all electrical work on winder engines
• Perform work on the winch fans, mini substation and haulage lights
• Check and maintain clocking systems
• Check and maintain pump installations
• Execute any electrical work on winch starters and build new starters when required
• Inspect generators and compressors on a weekly basis and execute maintenance when required
• Check and maintain sub-stations on a weekly basis when required
• Check and maintain electrical work on locos
• Install electrical connections on winches and pumps
• Install electricals on high level power machines and cables
• Check and maintain gully boxes
