Winder Specialist

SUMMARY:
Our prestigious client in the Mining Industry has an opportunity available for a Winder Specialist in the Rustenburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10
• Electrical / Mechanical trade Certificate
• Relevant 3 -year Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years working experience in commissioning, fault finding and repairs on Winders
• Analogue and Digital Variable speed drives
• Winder safety and control philosophies
• Knowledge of head gear, ropes and attachments, shaft & loading arrangement
• Experience on Winder and associated mechanical equipment
• Computer Literacy

KPAs:

• Ensure winder availability by minimizing downtime in order to maintain production levels and safety standards
• Ensure winders are complying with the all the winder related COP''s, regulations, and standards
• Determine the winder specifications together with the relevant consultants and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) regarding new equipment and ensure compliance during and after installation
• Ensure winders and associated equipment are sustainable (Upgrades and Improvement)
• Assist with on-the job training and external training of winder personnel
• Conduct winder and shaft technical audits
• Scrutinise level one audit and dynamic test reports and assist where necessary
