Windmeul Cellar, located on the Northern slopes of Paarl Mountain in the heart of the Winelands, is renowned for creating wines of distinction. This is an ideal position for a professional to further his\/her career as Winemaker by joining Windmeul’s dynamic production team. The incumbent will be responsible for the following: - Winemaking - Quality control - Stock management and administration (wine and dry goods) - Personnel management - Maintenance and housekeeping - Record keeping and administration - Wine tasting and external liaison - Health & Safety and accreditations Requirements: - Relevant tertiary qualification (degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology or similar qualification) - 2-5 years’ proven experience in the wine industry - Mechanical and technical knowledge of winemaking machinery and equipment - Well-developed wine tasting skills - Good computer skills (Wine MS) - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Afrikaans and English) - Detail orientated - Ability to perform well in both a team context and individually - Valid driver’s licence
