SUMMARY:

Our client, a company leading in producing and marketing polymer, with operations predominantly in South Africa is seeking a Work Process & Training Coordinator to join their team based in KwaZulu-Natal area.



POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Math’s & Science)
  • National Diploma or Degree: Chemical Engineering or Operations Management.
  • 5 years’ experience in Operational Experience: Chemical Engineering Environment.

 

Technical Requirements:

  • MS Office literacy (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook essential).
  • ODMS System (On Board Management System).

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring that training is updated and documented and complies with the Workplace Skills Plan that is submitted annually to CHIETA.
  • Ensuring that the training is up to date.
  • Ensuring that training plans are prepared and updated for all employees.
  • Co-ordinating the use of training resources.
  • Participating in setting up the necessary training budget and monitors spending.
  • Ensuring that new training requirements are undertaken or developed and are tested.
  • Coordinating and presenting the induction of new employees.
  • Informing the production management in the event of shortcomings that cannot be resolved by discussion with the production team.
  • Coordinating and Promoting of an effective and proactive plant training program to achieve Career, Individual, Business, and Plant goals.
  • Identifying, with a team, the training requirements that will assist and improve individuals develop their employee development plans. Coach individuals on the development plan requirements and steps.
  • Help individual members and teams to clarify roles, boundaries, performance outcomes, purpose, team norms and operating procedures
  • Ensuring that the training goals are functional, and business aligned.
  • Possess knowledge about training methods and systems and communicates with site training steering team.
  • Coordinating necessary training programs.
  • Assisting teams in setting personal goals based on the team goals agreed upon between the unit leader and the team/s.
  • Helping teams to resolve conflicts and to solve problems.
  • Developing communication and decision-making skills among team members.
  • Assisting teams in measuring their results and assessing their performance.
  • Working closely with the unit leader to ensure the team building process is aligned and supports business needs and goals.
  • Facilitating the integration of new members into teams.
  • Helping teams’ interface with other teams and other parts of the organization to sell ideas, break barriers and procure resources.
  • Act as operate plant work processes subject matter expert for the plant; works in the field. (i.e., one-on-one coaching, control room sessions).
  • Assisting in the development and collection of work process measurements and audits.
