Workshop Foreman

An established engineering workshop is seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to oversee and manage all aspects of workshop operations.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Recognised trade qualification in Turning / Fitting and Turning
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar workshop leadership role
• Strong background in machine maintenance and stock control
• Safety Inspector experience with solid knowledge of workshop safety regulations
• Skilled in fitting, turning, milling, drilling, welding, and grinding
• Proven ability to quote accurately on projects and jobs (essential)
• Quality Control (QC) experience, ensuring high standards on all work

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations
• Maintain and service all machinery and equipment
• Enforce and maintain safety standards in compliance with regulations
• Manage stock levels, materials, and consumables
• Oversee all machining, fabrication, and repair work
• Conduct quality checks on completed work
• Prepare accurate project and job quotations
• Lead, train, and motivate workshop staff
