Employer Description Luxury Lodge in Sabi Sands Job Description Our client is seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry Manager to lead and coordinate housekeeping and laundry operations at a luxury safari lodge. This permanent live-in role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for service excellence, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to motivate and manage a team in a five-star hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure five-star guest experience through exceptional housekeeping standards Manage, oversee, and schedule a team of 20 housekeepers fairly and effectively Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house and laundry facilities Monitor performance, provide training and maintain high cleanliness standards Oversee departmental budgets, cost control and inventory management Ensure adherence to operational standards and Health & Safety guidelines Review guest feedback and address complaints promptly Maintain strong collaboration with other departments for seamless operations Qualifications Minimum 5 years' experience in luxury hospitality housekeeping At least 2 years' experience managing a housekeeping department in a five-star lodge, hotel, or luxury property Strong computer literacy: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; HMS Infor and Sage advantageous Proven experience in cost and inventory control Excellent command of English (written and verbal) Skills Passion for people and service excellence Professional presentation and conduct Exceptional leadership and team management skills Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity Calm under pressure, proactive, and solution-oriented High level of accountability, integrity and pride in work Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Flexible, adaptable, with realistic expectations of bush life Salary\/Package R18 000 - R22 000 basic monthly salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
