Responsibilities of a Chief Information Officer

• Develop strategies for our IT department
• Implement new strategies
• Optimise existing strategies
• Create KIPs for IT department
• Measure KPIs regularly
• Oversee the hire of roles within department
• Assess and authorise department purchases
• Oversee department budgets
• Plan and oversee your department's projects

Qualifications to be a Chief Information Officer

• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Extensive xperience as CIO or similar role
• Outstanding knowledge of various IT systems
• Extensive knowledge in designing
• Expertise in developing IT systems
• Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
• Analytical mind and great problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Very good communication and people skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• BSc/BA qualification in computer science or related field
