2727_Instructional Content Designer
Location: Gauteng
Contract Term: 1 June 2024 - 31 December 2026

POSITION INFO:
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Design storyboard learning activities with high impact training materials, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
· Create engaging and interactive learning content using various tools and technologies.
· Develop e-learning modules, instructor-led presentations, job aids, and micro-learning materials.
· Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations)
· Prepare content files in SCORM format, for packaging and ingestion into platform.
· Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
· Being able to design and develop in
o Adobe Photoshop
o Adobe Illustrator
o Articulate
o Microsoft PowerPoint
o Microsoft Teams
o Camtasia (Video recording software)
o Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

ADVANTAGEOUS TECHNICAL SKILLS:
· Being able to access channels to stay abreast and integrate trends and best practices in learning technologies with instructional design (ie: Micro-learning and Mobile learning)
· Utilize and design in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate) to produce online courses.
· Integrating AI, VR and AR capabilities into a blended learning approach
· Managing multiple stakeholders and being able to plan and prioritise.
· Agile development methodologies
· Working with formal project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
ESSENTIAL SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Sound knowledge in e-learning Design and familiar with user centred design approach
· Fit-for-business-purpose mind-set i.e., the solutions provided must meet the business goals.
· Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team
· Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation.
· Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users.
· Proficient in conducting user research in foreign markets i.e., language barriers may exist
