AGRONOMIST SALES MANAGER (SOUTH AFRICA)

POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced AGRONOMIST SALES MANAGER (SOUTH AFRICA) for a large, international concern.

POSITION WILL INTIALLY BE A ONE YEAR CONTRACT. PERSON WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE BASED EITHER IN JOHANNESBURG, CAPE TOWN OR EASTERN SIDE OF SOUTH AFRICA (DURBAN, PORT ELIZABETH, ETC).

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Relevant agronomist qualification/s.

Valid driver’s license / own transport.

English speaking (person must be able to speak, read and write English competently).

Previous working experience in the agri business in a sales management position is essential.

Act as an Account Manager to the existing distribution partners and expand distribution in new regions.

Seek new market opportunities to expand the business.

Drive effective sales forecasts.

Give technical support, such as trainings, field trial assistance and technical demonstrations to distributors and end-users – 3 per month.

Executing 20 demonstration plot per year with customers – 2 per month.

Preform 2 annual official trials according to company trial protocol.

Work closely with large accounts to ensure proper usage of products at various crops.

Organize effective marketing communication and end user directed activities to help to introduce new products.

Customer relations management (CRM / MS Excel / other) - keeping the customer and market data up to date in the tool.

Manage payment terms and conditions, monitor overdue status of customers, logistic and warehouse operation.

Meeting the sale target KPI.

Maintain and create excellent relationships with influencers, research centre’s and governmental authorities.

Conduct business according to the businesses ethical business code.

Develop and maintain an accurate market description (market segment, market size, market potential, company market share) by gathering market data and analyze the market situation to maximize sales on middle and long term.
