SUMMARY:

AI Product Owner - Johannesburg or Pretoria (Hybrid)

POSITION INFO:
Contract: 6 to 12 months (negotiable based on project scope) Working Model Hybrid: 3 days onsite | 2 days remote per week Purpose Our client is seeking an experienced AI Product Owner to drive the AI product strategy, roadmap, and product backlog. The successful candidate will ensure AI and Generative AI capabilities deliver measurable business value, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities Define and communicate the AI product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Own, manage, and prioritise the product backlog based on business value. Identify, evaluate, and prioritise AI and Generative AI use cases. Work closely with business stakeholders to define product requirements, objectives, and success measures. Collaborate with Data, AI Engineering, and Architecture teams to deliver AI-powered solutions. Monitor product adoption, business outcomes, and value realisation. Manage stakeholder expectations and product governance throughout the product lifecycle. Champion Agile Product Ownership and drive continuous product improvement. Requirements Proven experience as a Product Owner. Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum product management methodologies. Experience delivering AI, Data, or Digital products. Understanding of AI and Generative AI use cases and technologies. Experience with product roadmap development and backlog management. Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills. Experience measuring product success through value realisation and KPI management. Experience within the Financial Services industry is advantageous. SAFe Product Owner\/Product Manager certification is preferred.
