Join multi-billion rand manufacturing, wholesale & retail Group that supplies the local SA market as well as selected African & European markets. In addition to multiple Sales & Wholesale Branches around South Africa, there are many retail outlets where the Group has a franchise type setup. The business is also an appointed Distributor of well known brands and due to its entrepreneurial spirit is expanding its business on an ongoing basis, both vertically and horizontally. This newly created position in the IT Division will report to the IT Manager who has been involved in these duties and responsibilities to date and due to the ongoing expansion of the Group is now requiring a Specialist for this position. It must be emphasised that this vacancy is not for a Systems Specialist but is for a candidate to take control over all the Service Providers (Intermediaries) that provide an IT Service to the Group (e.g. Jitterbit, Teraco Data Centre etc.) as well as managing all the various applications that are used for the various Systems to connect one with the other (e.g. SQL, K2 / Nintex, Azure, Salesforce etc).

By way of summary, the IT Manager began automating business intelligence systems into the Company several years ago due to the need to share information amongst management and staff so as to transfer data to different stakeholders and integrate platforms. This naturally improved business processes and enhanced management information for decision making. Therefore an integration platform was set up to get data in and out of the different systems and Jitterbit was appointed as their Service Provider. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be trained and certified by them and will work closely, not only with Jitterbit, but with their other IT partners as well. There will be several small and large projects on an ongoing basis that the candidate will be responsible for in all its detail. It should be noted that there is a large manufacturing facility as well which employs 400 staff and data is fetched by Jitterbit from the Group’s SAP System where it is processed. Their Business Intelligence (BI) System sits with Microsoft which is integral for their Accounting Department as well as for their CRM system used by their Sales staff. A current and very large project being managed by the IT Manager is Business Process Automation (BPA) for the Group. The new incumbent will manage and monitor these applications and ensure it will work optimally and will handle all the issues and problems in respect thereof. For example, K2 (which is similar to Nintex) is currently being used for BPA. The Group’s Servers are at a data centre called Teraco where their SAP package and their other Systems are based. The Group makes use of Cloud based systems like Azure. In addition, the business uses SQL data bases especially at the factory.

Requirements:

• The Client is flexible in terms of qualifications and/or certifications as long as it is relevant to the vacancy. It is expected that the successful candidate will be “technically savvy” in that he/she will be constantly updating their knowledge in respect of the latest IT information that is available and will always keep abreast of what is happening in the IT world.
• Skills & experience in, inter alia, include: route cause analysis, Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL), SQL, PowerBI, K2 / Nintex, Azure noting that the Group also uses Salesforce, Shopware, O365, Business Connector and SAP.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, have excellent time management skills, be passionate and a team player as well as an excellent communicator and able to work indepently.
