POSITION INFO:

A specialist power electronics and energy systems company is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and support firmware for highâpower, gridâconnected products, including solar PV inverters, battery energy storage systems, and industrial power equipment.
This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys working close to hardware, understands realâtime control requirements, and wants to see their code running in fieldâdeployed energy systems.

Education:

BEng / BSc in Electronic, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
3+ years’ experience in embedded software development
Strong proficiency in C / C++ for embedded systems

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Develop embedded firmware for power conversion and energy systems
Implement realâtime control, communication, and protection logic
Work closely with power electronics and control engineers on system integration
Support embedded software for solar PV inverters, battery converters, and soft starters
Develop drivers for peripherals (ADC, PWM, CAN, SPI, I²C, UART)
Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems in lab and site environments
Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of deployed systems
Maintain clear documentation and support longâterm product lifecycle needs
