JOB SUMMARY:
A leading Fresh Produce Supplier into local and international markets requires the above to strategically drive the sales by trading a variety of fresh produce and develop and maintain strong customer relationships with key accounts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:
  • Previous experience working within the Fresh Produce Industry is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience having run your own Fruit Company working closely with Growers and Customers would be an advantage.
  • Previous trading and account management experience dealing with Customers internationally is essential.
  • Previous experience and or knowledge of pome, stone fruit, citrus and grapes and or related fresh produce is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to develop and nurture/maintain solid customer relationships, as well as supplier relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Strategically managing sales throughout the given territory.
  • Implementing the strategy for all product lines within Southern Africa and globally.
  • Developing and maintaining good customer relations with Key Accounts.
  • Growing the Business whilst continually reviewing and expanding the network, and developing the Sales Team to support Customer’s needs.
  • Strategically driving marketing strategies for all products within the different industries.
  • Attending and assisting with exhibitions and conferences.
  • Ensuring constant updating of products and their applications as well as gathering competitor information.
  • Driving market growth and ensuring that all quarterly and annual sales targets are met.
  • Actively gaining market share from competitors.
  • Managing and driving sales volumes, forecasts and budgets within the Company.
  • Presenting and implementing strategic business plans and profitable strategies in collaboration with Senior Management.
  • Accountability for the overall performance of the Division and for the day-to-day running.
  • Managing and implementing Customer activity plans to reach agreed sales targets.
  • Setting up budgets and targets for the Sales Team.
  • Setting pricing and managing profit margins.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
