JOB SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for an Account Manager to develop and manage a selected database of reseller partners and achieve the targets attached to each customer. This is for one of our clients based in Midrand. We are looking for someone with a passion in sales.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification and Experience:
  • 3+ years product sales experience in the IT industry
  • Product Account Management experience
  • Matric certificate with exemption
  • Marketing or commerce degree or diploma
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales revenue for allocated products and associated services across partner eco-system within an assigned sales geography and to grow revenue in existing install base accounts and new accounts, through focused marketing strategies, campaigns and end user enablement;
  • Represents the product specific distributor program in all activities associated with reseller support;
  • Monitors and drives key program aspects. (Sales, marketing, operations, supply chain, customer support and product operations)
  • Work with internal sales personnel to propose specific solutions for a given account;
  • Understand and implement vendor strategy and policies;
  • Establishes value and builds trust and goal alignment with resellers;
  • Executes and educates partner community on programs and influences the adoption of the program;
  • Adds value in the sales cycle of partner’s opportunity by acting as a product specific sales coach or by contributing personally in a given customer opportunity;
  • Both reseller sales and end user sales experience is required for this role as well as program management and operational experience;
  • Strong experience managing multi-tiered customer relationships;
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate and close new accounts and opportunities;
  • Provide accurate and regular sales forecasts and business updates to management and to vendors;
  • Key role in defining and implementing vendors overall strategy within the company
  • Understanding the various target markets and mapping the focus to these markets;
  • Defining and developing partners focus by strategically aligning each partner to the objectives set out by the vendor, understanding how to develop partners and into what markets.
