SUMMARY:
Our client within the property management industry is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high volume of municipal accounts and ensuring accurate billing, reconciliations, and financial administration.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and reconcile 2000+ municipal accounts monthly
Process and maintain municipal billing
Perform account reconciliations and query resolution
Work extensively on Sage Pastel Accounting
Handle debtors, invoicing, and payment allocations
Liaise with municipalities regarding discrepancies
Ensure accurate financial records and reporting
Assist with month-end processes

Requirements:

3–5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting
Strong experience working on Sage Pastel Accounting
Experience in property management or municipal billing (HIGHLY advantageous)
Ability to handle high-volume accounts (critical)
Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
