SUMMARY:
Are you a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant with a passion for precision and performance in a manufacturing environment?

POSITION INFO:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

Complying with all accounting and tax functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Record and review all financial transactions using SAGE.
Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, cashbook entries, and ensure account integrity.
Oversee creditors and debtors reconciliations, ensuring AA and sub-ledgers agree with control accounts.
Assess and monitor stock levels, validate stock balances, and ensure alignment with control accounts.
Track and report on working capital targets to support business objectives.
Analyze the income statement against budgets/targets and identify significant discrepancies or financial trends.
Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports.
Validate all financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.

What Do You Need?:

Solid experience as an Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficient in SAGE Accounting and MS Office (Excel in particular).
Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax, and audit compliance.
Proven ability to perform complex reconciliations and manage general ledger integrity.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualification in Accounting/Finance (BCom or equivalent); professional certification (e.g. SAIPA, SAICA) is advantageous.
