POSITION INFO:

What you will be doing:

• Manage all financial accounting and reporting functions
• Oversee SAGE accounting processes, including bank receipts, invoicing, statements, and reconciliations
• Supervise debt collection, including client liaison and key account management
• Collate and process creditor invoices; prepare and submit payments
• Oversee monthly debit orders, petty cash, and credit card transactions
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and site cost reports
• Prepare journal entries and assist auditors with month-end and year-end processes
• Manage onboarding and cancellations of client accounts
• Support compliance tasks, including labour inspections and licence renewals (e.g. PSIRA, PAPA)
• Supervise and train junior clerks where required
• Handle general administration and reporting for the Finance & Accounting function

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Financial Accounting (or similar)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a financial accounting role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with SAGE Accounting software (advantageous)
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Strong organisational skills, reliability, and attention to detail
• Proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and assist beyond defined duties when required
