SUMMARY:
Job Title: Accountant (SAICA Articles + 2 Years Post Experience / AGSA)
Location: Sandton

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have completed SAICA articles and possess at least two years of post-article experience or have experience working with AGSA. POSITION INFO:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts
Perform full financial accounting function up to trial balance and/or financial statements
Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements
Manage general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Handle audit processes and liaise with external and internal auditors
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury functions
Review and improve internal controls and financial processes
Support senior management with financial reporting and analysis
Assist with year-end financial statements and reporting packs

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

BCom Degree, Accounting Degree, or relevant Finance Diploma
Completed SAICA articles (essential)
Minimum of 2 years post-articles experience OR experience working with AGSA
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
