This is an opportunity to influence business direction, support growth initiatives, and build a best-in-class finance function in a highly regulated industry. 🚀 Key Responsibilities Act as a key member of the executive team, contributing to overall business strategy and decision-making Partner with leadership to support product development, pricing strategies, and expansion initiatives Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles Oversee compliance with IFRS (including IFRS 17 and IFRS 9), SAM, and relevant regulatory requirements Manage statutory reporting and maintain strong engagement with regulatory bodies (PA and FSCA) Drive capital management, including solvency, liquidity, and balance sheet optimisation within the SAM framework Oversee tax, treasury, audit processes, and external funding relationships Ensure robust governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks are in place Collaborate closely with actuarial, risk, compliance, and audit functions Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team Present financial performance and insights to the Board, Audit Committee, and key stakeholders ✅ Requirements Chartered Accountant (SA) - non-negotiable Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) advantageous Minimum 10 years' senior financial management experience within the insurance sector At least 5 years' experience operating at CFO level Strong experience within the regulatory environment (PA and FSCA) Proven expertise in SAM, capital management, and regulatory reporting Deep understanding of IFRS 17 and broader insurance finance principles Track record of engaging with Boards and governance committees 🔍 Key Competencies Strategic and commercial acumen Leadership and executive influence Strong governance and risk orientation Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Stakeholder engagement and communication skills Results-driven mindset High levels of integrity and professional judgement Ability to lead change and drive innovation 📩 Interested?
