SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established and operationally driven organisation within the manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team in Heidelberg. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of the full finance function and working closely with the broader business to ensure strong financial performance and operational efficiency.

If you are a hands-on Accountant with 3–5 years’ experience, strong technical accounting skills, and proven SAP experience, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a broad finance portfolio within a fast-paced and commercially focused environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Manage the full finance function and ensure accurate financial records are maintained. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Manage month-end and year-end financial processes. Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Monitor cash flow and support effective working capital management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Provide financial information and analysis to support operational decision-making. Work closely with operational teams to improve financial processes and controls. Assist with audits and provide supporting schedules and documentation. Qualifications & Experience: BCom Accounting, Finance, or a related financial qualification is essential. 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience required. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous. Proven experience managing the full finance function. SAP experience is essential. Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills. Excellent Excel and analytical capabilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A hands-on, proactive approach to finance and problem-solving.
