12-Month contract - Accountant - Pietermaritzburg

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a skilled accountant to work at their company in Pietermaritzburg

Responsibilities:
Accounting

Capturing and assisting with reviewing customer invoices and debtors management
Capturing and assisting with reviewing supplier invoices
Bank reconciliation and bi-monthly cashflow schedule
Ensure that monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliations, debtors and creditors
Assisting with stock count
Weekly meetings and reporting
Fixed Asset Management
VAT 201 submission and query resolution
Assist in resolving Adhoc tax queries

Requirements:

Immediately available candidates will be given preference
Bcom Accounting Degree
2 -3 years’ experience (preferred experience with stock management)
SAIPA or AGA(SA) (not mandatory but a plus)
Technical expertise.
Accuracy.
Leading and objectively advising on finance across the business.
Communication
Emotional intelligence.
Clear and descriptive.
Strategic thinking.
Energy to work with young people and a relatively young team.
Must be willing to travel on an adhoc basis to Johannesburg
Xero (Preferable, not mandatory)
Excel
Dear Inventory (for stock) (Preferable, not mandatory)
