JOB SUMMARY:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring, energetic Accountant who is looking to progress their career to a FM in next 2-3 years.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be reporting to the FM assisting the management team drive operational efficiencies to enable decision-making that will ensure business growth and long-term success. You will be responsible for analysing key financial information.

Minimum Requirements

BCom (Majors in Accounting & Taxation) with CIMA (part or qualified)
Majors in Auditing and Management Accounting advantageous
Completed articles
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
IFRS
Tax Act (Vat, tax & customs)
MS Office (Intermediate to advance) ability to use advanced Excel

Key Role Responsibilities

Manage Provisions and Accruals
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and resolve any resulting queries
Complete month-end and year-end accounts closure process
Processing of general journals
Draft financial statements
Prepare the Audit File including all reconciliations, Balance Sheet Accounts and supporting documentation
Compile capital work in progress report
Update fixed asset with additions or disposals
Calculate depreciation – units of production /straight line calculation
Prepare financial reports and returns
Management accounting reports
Tax Full function
Creditors/ Cashbook and Banking
Maintain cashbook
Manage cashflow local and foreign 3mths rolling
Complete credit applications for procurement
Resolve open balances queries
Reconcile finished goods & spare parts with Head Office
Capture invoice for scrap and re-selling material
Standard Cost, absorption costing and average costing knowledge
Analysing production costing results to ensure proper accounting of quantities and costing
Variance analysis (Material price variance understanding)
Payroll understanding and reconciliation
Compile Forex Forecasts
Prepare details for hedging
Revaluate foreign creditors & debtors
