Accountant

Our client is looking for an Accountant to join their team.

• Effective reporting to Executives, in respect of budget and
• expenditure:
• Reviewing of financial and operational reports and reporting
• to management and Executives
• Make recommendations according to trends, and statistics
• Report on data as required by financial prescripts
• Effective and efficient management of the procurement
• sections
• - Ensure the effective management of the procurement

• (ordering, delivery, payments of goods and services)
• Review and management of assets for the business.
• Effective and efficient management of the Income,
• Expenditure and Accounting sections
• Ensure the day to day operational management of the various
• departments are delivered to Standard Operating Procedures
• Weekly Trade report compilation and submission to
• Executives
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Prepares VAT calculation and submissions
• Review Bank recons
• Cash Flow management
• Prepare and submit monthly management accounts
• Preparation of annual budgets
• Review and manage expenses against budget
• Maintain standards in accounting and reporting systems
• Audit systems and integrity of data and correct application
• Adhere and deliver to reporting deadlines
• Assist auditors with annual audit
• Analyse productivity and efficiency levels of team
• Exercise control and management of the debtors
• management function
• Regular engagement with Cold Store Manager on operations
• Ad hoc assistance in general managerial duties
• Attendance of various required meetings such as
• management and executive meetings
• Perform relief duties for other management officials and also
• within the component
• Communicate with department heads in the institution
• Assist with the effective management of Human resources
• within component.
• Ensure optimal workflow and adequate spread of workload
• In service training of personnel to ensure effective execution
• of duties
• Manage utilisation of leave and the application of disciplinary
• and grievances procedures and all labour relations functions
• in the component
