JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and external financial reporting. This would include, but is not limited to:
Preparation and review of month-end journals
Preparation and analysis of monthly financial results and responding to queries raised
Review of monthly account reconciliations and investigating reconciling items
Preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual operational, management, and external reports and regulatory returns
Assisting in the annual budget process; and
Preparation of annual financial statements, in accordance with IFRS and liaising with external auditors.
Processing and releasing of payments and advances
Be involved in and take initiative in the improvement of the current reporting and internal control processes.
Supervise and coach junior staff members
Assisting in ad-hoc projects as and when the need arises.

Requirements

B Com Accounting - Qualified CA SA
5 years'' Accountant experience + Pastel + Advanced Excel experience
Good technical ability and experience in the application of IFRS principles
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Able to adapt and learn quickly
Be able to think independently and analyze information
Good planning and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail is results-driven
