Accountant - Agricultural Sector

SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper - Eastern Cape (ADDO)

Our client in the agricultural industry is on a recruitment drive for a senior bookkeeper to join their team.
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE WORKED in the AGRICULTURAL SECTOR, have bookkeeping experience to Trial Balance.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance
• Processing of daily financial transactions
• Debtors and creditors management
• Bank, loan and cash reconciliations
• Monthly journals and general ledger maintenance
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Payroll processing including seasonal and casual labour
• UIF, PAYE, SDL and statutory submissions
• VAT calculations and SARS submissions
• Stock and inventory control of farming inputs and consumables
• Costing of crops, livestock and production cycles
• Monitoring budgets, cash flow and forecasting
• Diesel usage tracking and rebate calculations
• Supplier reconciliations and payment scheduling
• Audit preparation and compliance support

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

• Matric
• Diploma and / or degree in accounting
• Fluent in English / Afrikaans
• Fully computer literate - MS Office - Pastel/ SAGE Accounting
• 3+ years in a similar role
• Agricultural experience would be hugely advantageous
