Accountant (Bank, Debtors & Creditors)

SUMMARY:
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records across banking, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions within a fast-paced dealership environment.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

• Certificate, National Diploma, or Degree in Accounting or Finance
• (Completed or currently in progress)

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Dealership / automotive industry experience highly advantageous
• Accounting or audit practice experience will also be considered

• Proficient in MS Excel
• Experience with accounting software such as Omni Accounts, Pastel, Sage, Xero, Kerridge, or Automate

• Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to Rustenburg

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately captured in the accounting system

• Manage a portion of the debtors function
• Process ad hoc invoicing and allocate bank payments received
• Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve customer queries

• Reconcile supplier statements
• Process monthly payments and ad hoc supplier invoices
• Ensure purchase orders align with supplier invoices

• Assist with month-end close procedures
• Prepare supporting schedules for the Finance Manager

• Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies
• Maintain compliance with SME IFRS and VAT regulations

Salary

• R12,000 – R18,000 per month, negotiable based on experience
