SUMMARY:
I am looking for an Accountant / Bookkeeper to join a busy practice environment where you will be working across multiple clients and not just a single set of books. This role suits someone who is comfortable with variety, deadlines, and the compliance side of accounting, while still enjoying structured financial work. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and preparing financial statements up to trial balance level.

POSITION INFO:
Role: Accountant \/ Bookkeeper Location: Hermanus, Overberg, Western Cape Salary: TBC Requirements: Post-matric qualification (Degree or Diploma in Accounting \/ Bookkeeping) Working knowledge of Pastel Strong MS Office Suite skills Experience with SARS eFiling, SARS EasyFile, and uFiling Knowledge of Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE legislation Payroll experience (processing and related compliance) Ability to prepare financial statements up to Trial Balance Experience in a practice environment (essential) Advantage: Ability to compile financial statements in Caseware In this role, attention to detail is key, especially when it comes to reconciliations, statutory compliance, and payroll accuracy. The ideal person is someone who is comfortable working independently but also understands the importance of accuracy, deadlines, and client service in a fast-paced practice environment.
