JOB SUMMARY:

We have 2 financial roles : Junior Financial Manager (Accountant) and an Accountant (Financial Controller). They are permanent vacancies, based in either Cape Town, Western Cape or Johannesburg, Gauteng

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with relevant Accounting Degree
3 – 5 years relevant accounting experience, FMCG industry experience preferred
Able to multitask, great organizational & communication skills and time management ability
Suitable candidates available immediately will be given preference

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Financial reports and recommended courses of action
Identify financial risks and propose controls; analyse performance compared to business plans
Conduct reviews and cost reduction evaluations
Oversee finance dept and design framework
Management of budget preparation
Liaison between Finance, Operations & Procurement as well as auditors
Review / approve PO’s and load invoices for payment
Manage asset / insurance register
SARS recons and submissions
Payroll recons and submissions
Bank recons and month end accounts & journals
Recons and reporting for donations and loan accounts
Creditors recons and payments; petty cash review & recons for CT & Jhb
Manage small team of bookkeepers & finance assistants
Investigate accounting discrepancies, and general assistance to CFO

Salary: R28 000.00 – R45 000.00 per month (depending on seniority and suitability)
