An accounting firm in George is seeking to appoint a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join their professional team. The ideal candidate must have a relevant accounting degree, have completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3 years of working experience as an Accountant
- Relevant Accounting Degree (e.g., BCom Accounting or equivalent)
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Proficient in accounting software (Pastel, Sage, Xero, Draftworx or similar)
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Processing and reviewing accounting records
- VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
- Liaising with clients on financial and tax matters
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- General bookkeeping and account reconciliation tasks
- Maintaining accurate and organized financial records
