An accounting firm in George is seeking to appoint a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join their professional team. The ideal candidate must have a relevant accounting degree, have completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Minimum Requirements:

• At least 3 years of working experience as an Accountant
• Relevant Accounting Degree (e.g., BCom Accounting or equivalent)
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Proficient in accounting software (Pastel, Sage, Xero, Draftworx or similar)
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Processing and reviewing accounting records
• VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
• Liaising with clients on financial and tax matters
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• General bookkeeping and account reconciliation tasks
• Maintaining accurate and organized financial records
