SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing company based in Silverton, Pretoria. Known for their commitment to quality, operational excellence, and innovation, they are seeking a skilled Accountant to join their finance team and contribute to their continued success.
Role Overview
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial reporting.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
Compile financial statements and management reports
Monitor and analyze cost structures, particularly within a manufacturing environment
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, VAT submissions, and statutory requirements
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Liaise with auditors and support audit processes
Oversee inventory accounting and reconcile stock records
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Completed SAIPA, SAICA articles, or similar professional training (advantageous)
Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of South African tax laws and financial regulations
