POSITION INFO:

Group Technical Accountant | Manufacturing | Gauteng

Step into a pivotal finance role where your technical expertise drives business impact.
We’re partnering with a leading manufacturing group to appoint a Group Technical Accountant, someone who thrives on complex accounting challenges, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to influence decisions at a group level. This is a hands-on role with exposure to multiple business units and strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the Group stays IFRS-compliant and assess the impact of new accounting standards
Maintain and update Group accounting policies
Provide technical guidance on complex transactions, acquisitions, new products, and markets
Lead the year-end reporting process and prepare statutory financial statements (AFS, integrated reports)
Manage the external audit process
Support business units with technical finance advice
Participate in group-level projects, including systems improvements, reporting tools, and corporate finance initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

CA(SA) – non-negotiable
3–5 years post-articles experience
Strong knowledge of IFRS and group reporting
Exposure to small to medium-sized business environments advantageous
Analytical, detail-driven, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders
