SUMMARY:
A leading organisation within the insurance and assurance space is seeking to appoint a seasoned Financial Manager to step into a critical role within their finance team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a senior finance professional who is immediately available and ready to make an impact from day one.

POSITION INFO:
This is a high-impact role requiring a hands-on leader who can take ownership of the finance function, ensure reporting accuracy, and provide strategic financial input in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, contributing to business continuity, financial stability, and operational performance.

The successful candidate will bring strong industry experience within insurance or assurance, combined with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the full finance function, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Lead month-end, reporting, and financial control processes
Deliver timely and insightful management reporting
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
Oversee audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements
Partner with senior stakeholders to support business decision-making
Stabilise and optimise finance processes where required

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 8–10 years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong background within insurance, assurance, or financial services
- Proven experience in a senior finance role with team leadership exposure
- Demonstrated ability to step into environments and add value quickly
Skills:
- Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- High attention to detail with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
Non-negotiables:
- Industry experience within insurance or assurance
- Immediate availability or short notice period
