POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a proactive Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the daily operations of their Accounts Payable (AP) function within a fast-paced, global Shared Services environment.

In this leadership role, you will ensure seamless processing of supplier invoices, accurate vendor reconciliations, and delivery of exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

This role is based in Bryanston, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the full AP function, including:

Managing day-to-day operations of the AP team, ensuring SLA compliance and accurate processing.
Reviewing and approving supplier and intercompany reconciliations, addressing discrepancies promptly.
Partnering closely with operational teams to resolve queries and support business continuity.
Overseeing payment processes and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Monitoring team performance, reporting on KPIs, and driving continuous improvement.
Leading team training, development, and coaching for enhanced performance.
Managing vendor communication, handling escalations, and resolving supplier complaints.
Overseeing onboarding of new suppliers and ensuring compliance across regions/time zones.
Performing and verifying AP transactions, including invoices, expenses, and allocations.
Supporting audits and completing AP-related administrative and reporting tasks.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
To excel in this role, you should bring:

5+ years’ experience in a similar Accounts Payable management role.
3+ years’ experience managing a Shared Services AP team.
Proven track record managing large teams (10–15 people).
Strong background in invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial administration.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams) with intermediate Excel skills.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work across multiple regions and adjust work hours to support global teams.
