Are you a skilled Actuarial Analyst ready to step into a high-impact role? A leading insurer is seeking a Senior Corporate Actuarial Analyst to join their dynamic team supporting both life and non-life insurance portfolios. This opportunity is perfect for an individual who thrives on strategic contribution across reserving, capital modelling, and regulatory reporting.

POSITION INFO:
Senior Corporate Actuarial Analyst – Capital & Reserving (Life & Non-Life)
ð Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg (On-site)

Key Responsibilities:

Reserving:
- Extract, transform, and prepare data for reserving models and tools
- Run reserving models and compile quarterly reserve and profitability review reports
- Present results to senior stakeholders and governance forums
- Collaborate with teams across reinsurance, finance, and investments
Capital:
- Support quarterly and annual solvency returns (solo and group)
- Contribute to ORSA reporting, including stress testing and solvency projections
- Perform solvency capital requirement calculations and asset-liability reviews
- Present insights at capital governance meetings
Strategic Actuarial Support:
- Assist with annual business planning through inflation forecasting and catastrophe modelling
- Support reinsurance programme renewals
- Ensure that actuarial practices align with IFRS 17 and industry standards

You’ll Collaborate With:

Finance, Claims, Underwriting, Product, and Actuarial Pricing teams.

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or a related field
- Strong progress toward actuarial qualification (10+ exams preferred)
Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years in capital or reserving actuarial functions
- Proficient in tools like Psicle, Igloo, and ResQ
- Strong skills in Excel and SQL, and familiarity with IFRS 17
- Able to deliver under pressure in a deadline-driven reporting environment
