You’ll work closely with actuarial, finance, capital, and audit teams, gaining deep insight into endâtoâend reserving and reporting processes while contributing to automation, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

- Support the calculation and analysis of Technical Provisions for accurate financial reporting
- Assist with the preparation, review, and analysis of IFRS 17 actuarial inputs
- Contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of IFRS 17 models, processes, and controls
- Collaborate with finance, actuarial, capital, and audit teams to ensure compliant and accurate reporting
- Drive innovation across actuarial methodologies, reporting frameworks, and automation
- Research and apply actuarial principles to specialised and niche insurance products

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education:

- Degree in Actuarial Science with strong academic results
- Nearly or newly qualified actuary (ASSA or equivalent)

Experience:

- Minimum 3+ years’ actuarial experience, ideally within shortâterm insurance
- Strong reserving and reporting background
- Exposure to IFRS 17 / IFRS desirable
- Project management experience beneficial
- Understanding of actuarial processes and insurance reporting

Skills:

- Programming exposure in VBA, R, Python, or similar advantageous
- Strong analytical, problemâsolving, and conceptual thinking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective stakeholder and relationship management
- Curious, proactive, and able to thrive in a collaborative environment
