SUMMARY:
Actuarial Analyst

POSITION INFO:

Actuarial Analyst

Rosebank, Johannesburg and Cape Town

Support actuarial operations by performing actuarial calculations and valuations.
Key performance areas are:

To manage a portfolio of clients by managing activities per service level agreement, schedule and requested tasks

To deliver contracted services ensuring quantity, quality and turnaround times are met:

Perform defined contribution (DC) valuations, prepare valuation reports and presentations
Perform annuity calculations and pensioner valuations
Perform IAS19 valuations
Perform individual, interest and ad hoc actuarial calculations
Prepare FSCA query response letters
Complete Section 14 certificates
Replacement ratio calculations

Qualification and Experience

Relevant Bachelor degree
Progress with Actuarial exams: 4 exemptions or passes
2 years relevant experience
Knowledge of Employee Benefits and wider financial services industry and process would be advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access)
