POSITION INFO:

Description:

Assists the Chief Actuary with valuations in a financial services institution. Responsible for premium rates and all other statutory valuation work. Responsible for the activities of a department or a specific function or area e.g. supervision of actuarial staff, actuarial students, and clerical staff. In Pension Fund Industry would be appointed as Fund Evaluator with responsibility for checking fund calculations and doing complex presentations to clients.

Qualification And Experience:

Qualified Actuary (passed all subjects) with 8-10 years related experience
Strong understanding of the financial services industry, client needs, financial advice, and financial markets
Extensive cross-functional leadership experience including internal cross-team leadership as well as external project leadership involving multiple stakeholders
Proven track record in managing projects through to completion
Budgets and forecasting
Interacting with businesses to maximize value creation
Automation projects
Training / mentoring junior staff
Experience investigations for the Group
Embedded value calculations
Analysis of change in Embedded Value
Valuations
Consolidation and analyses of Group results
