POSITION INFO:

You will support monthly reserving, IFRS 17 reporting, data analysis, and process automation within the Actuarial function. This role requires strong analytical capability, technical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Reserving & Capital Management

Perform monthly reserving calculations, including IBNR and OSCR
Assist with Economic Capital calculations
Conduct Actual vs Expected (AvE) analysis

IFRS 17 Reporting

Prepare quarterly IFRS 17 calculations and short-term results
Perform PAA eligibility assessments and Onerosity testing

Process Automation & Model Development

Automate and refine actuarial and financial processes
Improve and maintain existing actuarial models and workflows

Data Integrity & Insights

Conduct investigations to identify trends and anomalies
Resolve data errors and implement preventative controls

Governance

Maintain clear documentation for methodologies, models, and processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:

Nearly or newly qualified actuary (ASSA or equivalent)

Experience:

2+ years’ experience, preferably shortâterm insurance
Reserving (or IFRS9 ECL calc)

Advantageous:

IFRS 17 experience
Experience building or automating actuarial models

Skills:

Advanced Excel
SQL/Python/VBA or similar
Power BI
Strong actuarial/statistical analysis ability
