We are seeking a skilled Actuarial Manager to lead our Life Corporate Actuarial Team. This role involves overseeing actuarial functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support business objectives.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of actuaries, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of actuarial reports, including reserving, capital modeling, and regulatory returns, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
Product Development Support: Collaborate with product development teams to provide actuarial insights for new product designs and pricing strategies
Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and scenario testing to inform business strategies and decision-making processes
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to senior management and regulatory bodies

Skills & Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 3–7 years in an actuarial environment, with a focus on life insurance
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, SAS) and strong Excel capabilities
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-actuarial stakeholders

Qualification:
Educational Background: A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Professional Designation: Progress towards or completion of professional actuarial exams (ASSA or SOA)
