A great opportunity is available in the Insurance industry for an experienced Actuary who is looking to further their career in the life insurance space.

My client, an innovative player in the Insurance industry, is on the lookout for an exceptional Actuary with good exam progression to form part of and manage a team of high performing individuals.

This candidate will be responsible for various functions such as quotations and renewals in the Actuarial Team and engaging with all the relevant stakeholders with a specific focus on group funeral insurance as well as being actively involved in pricing and product development. This role is perfect for an individual that exhibits strong leadership skills, can take full responsibility of projects, stay up to date with relevant legislation, as well as have enough confidence in their own technical capabilities.

Education:

BSc Actuarial Degree
Strong actuarial exam progression
Honours Degree will be advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in life insurance
2 to 3 years managerial experience will be advantageous
Previous experience in pricing will be advantageous
Efficient stakeholder engagement skills
Must be able to perform all actuarial tasks as efficiently and accurately as expected by management
