Actuarial Pricing Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our Client is looking for an Actuarial Pricing Analyst to join their dynamite team to manage pricing and product development to safeguard the financial stability of the Company

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining pricing models

Developing, maintaining and enhancement of risk products and policy terms

Developing pricing bases for all risk products

Quotes on new business and improved benefits

Reviewing rates on existing business

Monitoring of claims ratios and profitability of Safrican’s schemes

Performing the various experience investigations to inform the pricing and embedded value bases (incl. expense and mortality investigations and Analysis of Surplus)

Maintaining the profitability of the standard products

Management and training of actuarial analyst performing pricing and product development

Ad-hoc projects

Provide technical oversight and support, for risk products to Sales, Customer Retentions, finance and other service areas

Working Requirements and Knowledge

A minimum of 4 years pricing or product development experience within long-term insurance

Investigations experience

Building and maintaining pricing models

MSOffice (advanced Excel knowledge), VBA and SQL

IFRS17 knowledge/experience is advantageous

Formal Qualifications

B.Sc/B.Com (Mathematics/Mathematical Statistics/Actuarial Science).

Completed Foundation and Intermediate Technical subjects.
