Agile Scrum Master (Hybrid)

We are looking for an Agile Scrum Master to join a dynamic, young company focused on software solutions for the Short Term Insurance Industry. 

The successful incumbent will be expected to coordinate and coach a software development team and become their go-to person for applying the necessary methodologies to produce a high performing, flexible and fully productive team. 

The duties of this position includes but are not limited to:

• Forecast the number of development task deliverables in a sprint
• Technical project management and highly accurate estimations of deliverables for a development project
• Lead the team in the identification, application and implementation of Agile principles and Scrum practices ensuring the team is equipped to address certain challenges on their own
• Lead the team in achieving higher levels of scrum maturity and to reach their individual potential
• Establish best practices through the entire process and keep abreast of the latest developments in Agile methodology
• Assisting the Business and Development teams to achieve customer satisfaction
• Resolve conflicts and impediments and coach the team on removing impediments while acting as a interference shield to keep them focussed
• Develop and report back to senior management on productivity KPI's
• Act as a conduit between Concourse IT teams internally, to ensure optimal internal client service levels
• Escalate, where necessary, to the development team to ensure customer priorities are understood and delivered upon
• Work with business, development and support teams to resolve any conflicts and issues

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
• Scrum Master Certifications would be advantageous
• 3+ years experience as a Scrum Master in the Agile Methodology with excellent knowledge of the scrum framework, artifacts and techniques
• A solid technical background with the ability to guide and give instructions
• A solid working understanding of the Software As A Service development environment
• Knowledge and experience within the Financial Services Industry and / or Short Term Insurance Industry will be highly advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to present complex information to business and technical staff alike
• Proficient in all MS Office applications
