Client in Gauteng is looking for an Analytics lead.

The client understands the movement of people and things. Their core offering is around the provision and sale of various complementary datasets. They are well positioned to combine these datasets with their clients own to provide independent and strategic analysis to ensure decisions are underpinned by robust geospatial analytics.

About the Role

The Analytics Lead / Manager will provide leadership and project management for client projects and company initiatives, support customer engagement, demand generation, and proposal efforts related to geospatial analytics and our related assets, products, and solutions.

They will work with business and technical leaders and geospatial experts to solve the most complex and challenging client needs.

The selected candidate will:

Bring a strong background in geospatial analytics and related technologies.
Have client-facing experience delivering geospatial solutions.
Be able to visualise and present solutions and deliver technical and marketing presentations describing those solutions.
Bring practical expertise with analytics, visualisation and modelling solution development (using; Predictive Models in R or Python, Spatial Analytics, Tableau, esri, APIs and Automation).

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Provide geospatial technology leadership on projects through solution development and project management.
Stay current on geospatial market trends to identify new market opportunities.
Participate in client development strategy, and support solution development, proposals, and marketing activities that shape new opportunities with clients for which the client is well positioned.
Attend conferences and industry events to represent the client company and identify new clients/opportunities.
Experience integrating geospatial tools and technologies into business intelligence and enterprise data environments is a plus.
Builds analytics community of practice, toolkit and to help build, train/upskill the team to use these tools

Reporting lines

This role will report directly to the General Manager: Commercial and have a dotted line reporting structure to the Lead Solutions Architect within the group.
