Duties:

• Develop and maintain a forward-thinking application architecture roadmap aligned with product strategy.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application frameworks for both web and mobile platforms.
• Define architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices across development teams.
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight during technical design and implementation phases.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and DevOps teams to align architecture with business goals.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve platform stability and performance.
• Mentor solution architects and senior developers, fostering growth and consistency in architecture.
• Lead the integration of external systems and services, ensuring seamless interoperability.
• Contribute to the SDLC through robust documentation, design artefacts, and architectural reviews.
• Support RFP/RFI processes and participate in technical impact assessments.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is advantageous.

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in software development.
• At least 5–6 years in application or solution architecture, preferably in high-traffic digital environments.
• Demonstrated experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and modern integration patterns.
• Exposure to agile development environments and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Experience designing for scalability, performance, and maintainability in distributed systems.

• Strong technical foundation in languages such as C#, .NET, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with architectural tools such as Sparx, Visio, or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, caching, messaging queues, and cloud-native architecture.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Capable of simplifying complex architectural concepts and presenting them to diverse audiences.
• Skilled at balancing long-term strategic vision with short-term deliverables.
• Strong mentoring capabilities and a passion for developing others.
