JOB SUMMARY:
Applications Architect with relevant Computer Science qualification, minimum 8 years’ software development/IT Architecture experience, at least 5 years’ experience in development management / solutions management, exposure to Agile and preferably experience in the Financial Services Industry required for an Insurance Company in Centurion.

Applications Architect with relevant Computer Science qualification, minimum 8 years’ software development/IT Architecture experience, at least 5 years’ experience in development management / solutions management, exposure to Agile and preferably experience in the Financial Services Industry required for an Insurance Company in Centurion.

Minimum requirements:

Computer Science qualification essential
Minimum 8 years’ experience in software development or IT Architecture essential
Minimum 5 years in development management or solutions management essential
Agile essential
Financial Services experience advantageous
Linux

Oracle Database and forms
IBM WebSphere and Liberty
AWS Compute and Database

Responsibilities:

Define framework and operating principles for application solutions according to industry best practice
Manage the application architecture within the enterprise architecture of the business
Internal process management
Client liaison and management
People and team management
Finance – budgets, costing and reporting
