JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a person who has initiative and drive and can work under pressure. The position involves design and selling company's products and services through the process design of customer enquiries, preparation of tender documents, presentation to the customer and the handing-over to the contract department for secured orders.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

esponsibilities:

The Applications Engineer must be able to identify/source markets, potential customers, and customer needs
Must be able to design solutions and products to suite the clients specific air pollution control needs. This will be either, through company proposed solutions or the client’s specifications
The position requires experience in the field of tender estimates and preparation, cost analysis and a good knowledge of industry contracting terms and conditions of potential projects for the company
To sell the Company's products and services with particular emphasis on the benefits to be derived from quality, experience, resources, technology, and the project management capabilities available and offered
To promote the sale of new products and identify new processes and industries in which they could be employed
Comply with Company costing and mark-up policies, motivate and obtain approval for alternatives where indicated
Participate in annual and interim business forecasts and budget preparations
Work towards the attainment of the objectives and sales targets set and agreed to from time to time between yourself and the Sales Manager
Perform all reasonable duties required within scope of this position in accordance with the manual of policy procedures to achieve company objectives

Minimum Qualifications

BSc/BEng Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
MSc/MEng Chemical/Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Candidates must have industry-specific experience and be familiar with the company’s product (Air Pollution Control)
5 years’ experience in an engineering environment would be preferred
Advanced computer literacy including planning packages such as MS Projects
Proven managerial skills including the management of human resources
Design, sales, and proposal activities
