Area Export Manager

SUMMARY:
A leading manufacturing group is looking for a dynamic Area Export Manager, in Elandsfontein, Gauteng.  To drive sales growth and expand market share across Sub-Saharan Africa.

POSITION INFO:
This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring smooth export operations while protecting profitability and compliance. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute action plans to achieve sales and export targets aligned with the company strategy.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new customers and markets across SSA.
• Monitor customer buying patterns to forecast demand and manage consignment stock effectively.
• Collaborate with Debtors to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and manage high-risk customers.
• Maintain accurate export documentation, permits, and customer account records.
• Oversee governance, ensuring compliance with company policies, export regulations, and audit requirements.
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships, resolve customer issues within SLA, and ensure high levels of retention and satisfaction.
• Monitor team and service provider performance, setting objectives and addressing performance gaps.
• Contribute to financial management by assisting with budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and reducing operational waste

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field (NQF 7)
• 6–8 years’ Sales & Marketing experience in a manufacturing environment
• At least 3+ years’ exposure to SSA export markets
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP, ERP systems)
• Strong understanding of export compliance, distribution processes, and market dynamics
• Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Sales and Marketing or related field (advantageous)
• Proactive and results-driven
