SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading fruit exporters, is seeking to employ an Area Manager: KZN

POSITION INFO:
This vacancy offers a challenging role to a dynamic individual, who is driven by attention to detail in reporting and motivated by deadlines.

Education & Experience:
Formal tertiary qualifications with at least 3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience in the fruit and/or agricultural industry experience in the management and export of fruit (preferably citrus).
Specific focus on the following topics essential:
Technical knowledge of citrus fruits, packaging, and quality Procurement and serving grower requirements
Ability to work with and convince producers
GlobalGap and HACCP experience will be advantageous.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Procurement - producers/suppliers
Implementation and maintenance of fruit quality and food safety standards
Monitor logistics ensuring smooth flow of fruit
Ensure that fruit is packed in accordance with market allocations and packaging instructions
Create and maintain grower estimates
Liaise with relevant role players within the company
Assist other divisions where necessary
